A group of us did go out for Dinner at the Eden Fisherman Club, nice meals to be enjoyed by all that attended, a courtesy bus picked us up and took us all back to the park when had finished, great no driving.

Day 5: 13th June 2009.
Relaxing morning looking at the beach at 2 dolphins chasing a group of Salmons and how they herded them into a ball and just took what they wanted, was great to see this for real, the sea was boiling with the number of Salmons and they where big fish to, took lots of pictures as you can see.
That late afternoon we all got together and had a BBQ on the beach and couple of drinks, it was cold but very nice and lots of talking.
After that we got ready to leave the next morning to head for home.

Start of Journey

Eden trip – South Coast of NSW

Day 1: 9th June 2009
Woke up at 04.00, had breaky and loaded up the last few personal items for our test run with our new Caravan to Eden – NSW.
Hooked up the van the night before and about 05.00 we pulled out of our driveway to start our journey. We had a good run of the Hill to the Monash Freeway for our trip up the coast. Was still very dark outside.
The van towed like a dream and the Alko hook up worked like a dream and the weight of the van was just spot on.

Our first stop was at Morwell for some more Fuel (LPG) and traveled to Sale, Bairnsdale for some more fuel and a rest break and a cuppa.
Through Lakes Entrance and that’s when our Climbing started as it can get very hilly along here, more fuel at Cann River and some lunch and relaxing for a while as we where doing great time wise.

Then on to Eden through some of the nicest bush land you can go through and arriving at our Caravan Park at about 14.30. Setting up the van with all the hook ups of water and drainage all done it was time to wonder around the park and the beach about 50 metres away from our van, we also introduced ourselves to our neighbours who where from Lara (Vic) this young couple and there daughter where a delight to be around.

Day 2: 10th June 2009.
After breaky and some basic house keeping and a look around the beach we headed of to Eden port and some sight seeing, weather was cold and wet. Watched an Optical cable laying ship being repaired on the Port of Eden. Then of to Merimbula for another walk around the foreshore and the town centre. We also had a look around Pambula as we had not been there for many years, has changed very little from what I could remember.
Back to the park for some socialising with the 4 other campers that  stayed there.

Day 3: 11th June 2009.
Breaky and some house keeping, then off to Green Cape Lighthouse for some sightseeing. From the main road it’s a 24km dirt track through thick bush and past Disaster Bay but what a view as the photos will show, then on to the Lighthouse and Wow what a sight, a large swell out to sea and some Seals on there backs just relaxing.

Then off to the wood chip mill at Red Point and what a nice view from there, also Ben Boyd Lookout Tower is worth going to as well, This tower was used for Whale spotting many years ago.
